Instructions on how to quickly shut off the water supply to the truu system in case of leaks or water damage. The shut-off valve on the truu T-piece and the home's corner valve under the sink are described.

Act safely in case of leaks or water damage

Your truu system is designed for durability and tightness. Should water ever leak from the system, a line, or a connection, remember this: stay calm and first shut off the water supply to the system. You have two options for this, both located directly at your system's connection, typically under the kitchen sink. Once the water is shut off, no more water will escape and you can calmly proceed to the next step.

Option 1: Shut-off valve on the truu T-piece

Every truu system comes with a T-piece with integrated shut-off valve. You close the water supply to the system in one second using the black lever:

  1. Locate the white T-piece with the black lever under the sink.
  2. Turn the lever 90 degrees so that it is perpendicular to the outgoing hose.
  3. The water supply to the system is now shut off. The rest of your kitchen faucet continues to work normally.

Option 2: Home corner valve

The truu T-piece is mounted on your home's corner valve. Alternatively, you can shut off the water directly there, which depressurizes the entire supply line including the T-piece:

  1. Locate the corner valve on the wall under the sink (see arrow in the image).
  2. Turn the knurled wheel clockwise until it stops.
  3. The complete cold water supply at this connection is now shut off.

Note: Corner valves vary in shape and operation depending on the house and year of construction. Your valve may therefore differ from the image, but there is always a way to shut it off.
It's good.
