CARE INSTRUCTIONS · TRUU TRIO & TRUU SOLO
Care and cleaning of your truu fixture.
This guide explains how to properly care for and clean truu trio and truu solo fixtures – from daily drying to checking connections every 12 weeks. It also covers why rust-colored spots appear on stainless steel and which cleaning products must be avoided at all costs.
Everything you need to know so your fixture looks and works perfectly for years to come.
NOTE: Damage resulting from improper handling is excluded from our warranty coverage. You can find the complete warranty terms in the customer area on truu.com.
GOOD TO KNOW: The faucets of truu trio and truu solo are made from stainless steel. The material itself cannot rust through. Occasionally visible rust-colored spots on the surface therefore always have one of the following two causes.
Flash rust — Fine foreign particles from the environment, such as from steel wool or other metal nearby, settle on the surface and oxidize there. The stainless steel itself remains unaffected.
Deposits — If lime or rinse aid residues remain regularly, this weakens the protective layer of the surface. The deposits then appear visually like rust, but are not.
1 Your care routine
| Interval | Action | How to do it |
|---|
| Daily | Dry wipe | After use, briefly wipe over the surface with a soft, damp cloth and dry afterwards. |
| Weekly | Thorough cleaning | With a mild, non-abrasive cleaner, remove lime and water stains, then rinse thoroughly with clear water. |
| Every 12 weeks | Check connections | Inspect inlet hoses and fittings for leaks, corrosion, and mechanical damage. |

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Do not store cleaning products or chemicals in the immediate vicinity of the fixture or connection hoses. Escaping vapors can permanently damage the surface.
2 Clean correctly
How to do it right
- After use, dry with a soft, damp cloth.
- If needed, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner on a soft sponge cloth.
- Rinse residues thoroughly with clear, cold water.
- Only clean when the surface has cooled down.
Please avoid this
- Scouring sponges or the rough side of a sponge.
- Steel wool. Tiny metal particles adhere and lead to flash rust.
